Group for the East End is a professional, conservation, advocacy and education organization that is dedicated to the protection and restoration of eastern Long Island’s fragile and beautiful coastal environment. Working with community groups and conservation partners for nearly 50 years, we have been protecting the nature of the place you love” and working to inspire a conservation ethic.

Blossom Meadow Farm in Southold NY specializes in growing organic berries to make award-winning jam, and raising mason bees (for sale as cocoons). Now widely coined as "regenerative agriculture," the farm embraces nature to improve soil health and consistently harvest thousands of pounds of premium fruit each year.  

North Fork Audubon Society (NFAS), founded in 1971, is a chapter of the National Audubon Society. NFAS focuses on the protection and conservation of wildlife and other natural resources on the North Fork. With the support of our members and friends we engage our community through environmental outreach, education, and habitat restoration. Our mission-connecting people with nature.

Founded in 1927, Custer Institute and Observatory is Long Island’s oldest public conservatory. We welcome visitors to see our museum, library and powerful telescopes that allow you to get an up-close look at the stars and planets and meteors that shine in our night sky. At Custer, we seek to engage the curious through exhibitions, lectures and educational experiences that illuminate the science of astronomy and inspire the public to learn more about the wonders of the night sky.

The mission of the Southold Peconic Civic Association is to protect and enhance the unique hamlets of Southold and Peconic by ensuring that community members are well informed and have an active voice about issues that may affect them. The Association shall provide forums to educate, discuss and act upon topics that are important to community members.

The Mattituck Laurel Civic Association is a community-based civic organization dedicated to upholding and sustaining the interests of residents of the historic hamlets of Mattituck and Laurel, New York. Through our community outreach, education and advocacy efforts we provide aid and encouragement to all things which are deemed to be a general benefit to our North Fork localities.

Founded in 1972, The North Fork Environmental Council is the oldest continuously operating community based environmental organization dedicated solely to the protection of eastern Long Island’s North Fork environment. Through grassroots efforts, we educate and inform the public on key environmental issues and give voice to public concerns and ideas that shape our local public policy and legislation that impacts the future health and sustainability of our local environment.
