Solutions to Light Pollution with Susan Harder

Join renowned dark sky expert Susan Harder to learn about the effects of light pollution and how YOU can protect our night sky.

Group for the East End is excited to host a conversation and Zoom presentation with Susan Harder, a New York representative of the International Dark Sky Association, East End resident, and 20-year dark sky advocate.

The use of artificial light at night has become imperative to our safety and our ability to navigate the world after dark. However, when improperly used, outdoor lighting contributes to climate change, blocks our view of the stars, disrupts wildlife, wastes money and energy, and impacts human health.

Together we will learn more about light pollution, its effects, and how we can work together to protect our night sky.
